More about the Concentrate

The Concentrate is a plant- and mineral-based, multi-purpose formula designed to replace virtually every cleaner in your home. When diluted with water, our Concentrate is a multitasking powerhouse, tough enough to dissolve car engine grease, yet safe and gentle enough to wash a baby. And the best part? It works! Use it to tackle dirt, dust, grease, grime, and even the toxic residues left behind by other cleaners. We use ingredients you can trust, down to the last drop.

Safety: The Concentrate is human safe, not irritating to the eyes, skin, or lungs. All ingredients are rated 1 on EWG, and there are no harmful preservatives such as methylisothiazolinone, phenoxyethanol, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, or any type of alcohol. Even the extremely chemically sensitive and immune compromised are able to use Branch Basics with complete confidence. Our fragrance-free, hypoallergenic concentrate is also biodegradable and is safe for the environment.

Versatility + Convenience: The Concentrate was intentionally formulated to replace all cleaning products in your home. It cleans countertops, dirty laundry, showers, floors, wine stains, puppy accidents…even spaghetti-splattered ovens. Cleaning has never been so simple!

Economics: Buying Branch Basics for your home may save you as much as half of your yearly cleaning budget. The average cost of 24 oz. “green” cleaners – many of which still contain harmful chemicals – is $6.18, and their uses are very limited. A 33 oz. bottle of The Concentrate makes 16 All-Purpose spray bottles (24 oz.), costing only $2.90 each!

Effectiveness: Our formula removes stains, breaks down grease and oil, and cleans surfaces leaving no residues outperforming many of the toxic solvents, detergents, and cleaning products it replaces.

Sustainability: The biodegradable formula is just as safe for fish and plant life as it is for humans. Instead of selling one-time-use bottles, each reusable Branch Basics bottle replaces dozens of conventional spray bottles over its lifetime of use. And you conserve energy and save on shipping costs.

I love the way it cleans bathrooms and glass. I have been less impressed with scrubbing the floor where I feel it leaves an almost residue. I have also had a lot of trouble with laundry. We used to have zero issue getting any stain out (wine, blood, baby poop) but now a lot of our clothes are stained since switching to BB. I really appreciated your ig customer service message with advice but with three little boys I honestly won’t take time to do like a pretreat or soak or spray beforehand. I need to find a counterpart to my tide free and clear + ec3 which got out every stain every time without and pretreating work. Also, one other question I have about BB is its effect on mold. I’m sure many of your customers are affected by mold/allergic to mold. When using it in the bathroom I always wonder if it’s helping (like the ec3 I usually use to clean, or even vinegar) or if it’s doing nothing or maybe even making mold worse. I would love if BB did independent lab testing to see its effect on mold and mycotoxins.

Loving not having to use harsh harmful cleaning products. Use BB for everything!

We’ve knocked out a resilient/heavy coffee stain in a metal can, grass stains on tile, all sorts of things! It is pretty amazing how much we have simplified down to one brand – general cleaner, glass cleaner, hand soap, stain remover, handwashing, dishwasher cleaner used to be simple green, invisible glass, meyers, biokleen, etc…

A weak point we have found – branch basics (handwash mix ratio) isn’t as tough on grease (vs. Dawn).

I like the product very much and appreciate that it is plant-based and non-toxic. The only issue I am having is that it looks a little cloudy on my granite countertops. Maybe I’m using too much, but I am having to re-wipe with a wet cloth.

I love that it’s clean and safe for me and my little one. I do think it’s not as ‘powerful’ as some chemicals I’ve used but that’s totally not a problem as I’d rather use safe products. I even bought a starter kit for my sister.

Love everything about it! I do wish the pre wash was a spray because it’s quicker but the oxy boost works so well I’m going to stick with it anyway 😊

Love the product. Feels it cleans well, tackling my messy family. My 1 year old always goes for the cleaning products and I don’t worry. I managed to get many refills out of the bottle of concentrate. The laundry detergent doesn’t seem to get our clothes as clean as other detergent brands, I’ve recent purchased the oxygen boost to see if that helps.

I gave it a 3 star because I am still getting used to it.
It is the only cleaner I use for everything. I was never a lysol type fanatic and things do not need to smell clean to be clean to me.
I come from an old European back ground where my mom used vinegar for windows and surfaces and straight baking soda to brush her teeth.
So far I like it and have shared it with my daughter for her use opinions too.
    Thank you for this opportunity.

Overall it does a good job but the amount of concentrate I don’t think it’s enough. I am almost out of it and will need to get more. I think the concentrate should be much more in terms of ounces once you start to refill only. For the price you will pay vs the ounces you get.

I love the product and the bottles, the foaming soap dispenser stopped foaming after only 1 week of use. I scrubbed my shower and it came cleaner than I’ve ever gotten it before!

I do like the products. I was surprise at how well it cleaned my bathroom, honestly. I was skeptical at first but pleasantly surprised. I do wish I would have gotten a small sample of the oxygen boost for the laundry though. I think for laundry, a little more detergent than recommended is needed or there is an odor.

I love Branch Basics! I love that I can use one product for all my cleaning. I use the all-purpose cleaner every single day (I have 5 kids, including twin toddler boys!). The all purpose cleaner works really great and I love that I don’t have to worry about any bad chemicals, especially smells. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I haven’t had the best of results with the laundry.

This is a good, sometimes great, product. In my experience, t is good for handwashing and glass-cleaner, great for all-purpose and bathroom cleaner. I also love the tip about spritzing dirty dishes with the all-purpose. I have not had any positive experience with using it as laundry detergent – I did not purchase the oxygen boost for laundry so perhaps that improves laundry outcomes…but adding another product doesn’t help me cut down on waste (since I already use a super concentrated, non-toxic laundry detergent). On the topic of waste, I do not care for the plastic bottles. They seem quite flimsy. Plus, the squirt lid of the concentrate bottle is far from leak-proof so I just remove it to pour.

All in all I love this product! It’s a 0 on the Think Dirty app, and works well for everything I’ve tried it on so far.
I’ve had it for a couple weeks, and other than dish soap I’ve used no other cleaning products (I know I could even replace my dish soap).
My only reason for 4/5 is because of the plastic bottles. I live that it’s not a single use plastic, but considering glass or metal could cut down even further on the foot print. 🙂

So far so good. I will say, though, that I was surprised by how strong the smell of it is. I added peppermint essential oil to my hand soap because I couldn’t stand the smell.

My daughter told me about Branch Basics. She said it was wonderful. I decided to give it a try. The products work. I was concerned that they would not clean well in the bathtub or shower. They did! I am planning to continue to use Branch Basics. (There are a couple of cleaning products I have not given up yet, but I am working on it.)

Really like the products. Even though we use as natural as possible I’m still getting used to using a spray inside the toilet bowl but it seems to be working. And no streaking on the glass which is great.

I used the bathroom cleaner and it did a great job in my shower. The glass cleaner did not do so well on a cold storm door window. However, I will continue to use Branch Basics and have already dropped off my other hazardous household cleaners at the county center.

I have only used the bathroom solution so far, and it did a good job. My only issue is that the lid of the concentrate bottle leaks when adding it to the spray bottle.

Well. So far I quite like the cleaning solution. I think it leaves surfaces very nice. I’m a bit put off by the somewhat chemical? smell. But I think it might be the best alternative I’ve found that’s less of an irritant to my allergies.

I really like the products and how easy it is to get set up with the kit (filling the bottles etc. My problem is dish soap. I’m not sure how to do dishes by hand with the all purpose cleaner; not sure what concentration to use. Cutting grease can be a problem…What do you use?

So far I have enjoyed using the Branch Basics products at I received in my starter kit! I love that one bottle of concentrate can replace so many other of my DIY bottles (hello simplified routine!!). I was impressed with how well the All Purpose Spray worked to clean my kitchen counters. I had been using vinegar and water, and I guess didn’t realize how much I was still missing on the counter’s surface. I am still on the fence about the Streak Free Spray because I don’t use microfiber to clean. I don’t feel like I’ve been able to replicate the streak free finish I get with vinegar and water just yet. I’ll mess around with the ratios to see if that helps. I enjoy using the Foaming Wash to remove my makeup, but I do not feel it is concentrated enough to clean physically dirty hands. I may need to mess with that ratio, too. I’m only two weeks into using the products, so hopefully I will have some even better feedback as I experiment. Some improvements that would help me 100% support the company would be:
    – using aluminum bottles instead of plastic AND/OR having a recycling program for the concentrate bottles;
    – using more ingredients that are certified organic; and
    – providing one sheet that has all the suggested uses and solutions (I’m currently working on one by compiling info. I have run across on the blog).

Overall, I recommend this product about 80%!

I really love the product. I am making the switch from the top name cleaners like Tide and Windex and Tilex, etc – so that is what I am comparing the products to. For laundry, I am not sure if I can stick with it – I’m using 1 cap full of hte laundy dilution level plus a scoop of oxygen cleaner but it’s not getting stains out the way I’m used to. I’m not sure if there’s something else I can throw in there to help like washing soda or not. I kind of hate to go back to Tide. For everything else, it works very well. I’ve been adding in Bon Ami for certain scrubby jobs like cleaning my ceramic top stove or toilets and that’s nice. We’ll definitely keep using the products except for possibly not laundry where we’re still ont he fence. My biggest suggestion is actually that you reconsider your shipping policy. I’m so accustomed to mail ordering products and getting them in a reasonable amount of time. But the shipping method you’re using is SLOOOOOOOWWWWW and that’s far out of step with what I’ve come to consider. I think for the price point you are targeting you really need to step up your standard shipping speed.

Starter Kit + Oxygen BoostSmart packaging! The concentrate is easy to use and dilute. I like that your product does not have an offensive odor. If there was anything to improve, I would suggest to use more durable spray bottles. We will certainly recommend Branch Basics cleaning products to our clients and friends!!! Thanks for all you do.

Starter Kit + Oxygen BoostI love the simplicity and the clear cut labels and instructions for mixing. Most of all that when my kids come near me when I’m cleaning I don’t have to shoe them off in fear of them breathing in!

Starter Kit + Oxygen BoostThis stuff really works! And no coughing when I use it! The only complaint I have are the bottles seem a little flimsy and not very ergonomic (when compared to 409 bottles). I would like to see better quality bottles offered as an upgrade for those who want something a little sturdier/ergonomic.

Starter Kit + Oxygen BoostI love the concentrate and everything cleans well! I used the glass cleaner on our shower glass doors and the water streaks came right off as if they never happened! I’m just not to crazy about the laundry detergent (maybe because I’m used to having more concentrated detergent, I feel like it’s not enough to clean an entire load). I also wish they had more products like dishwashing soap, air freshener and a wooden floor cleaner.

Starter Kit + Oxygen BoostLOVE it!…BUT when I spray the all purpose on my kitchen counters and table, the stuff that sprinkles on the floor makes the floor have a tacky feel to it! We have hard wood floors so that’s not cool! Other than that we love it!

Starter Kit + Oxygen BoostThis is an awesome and safe product. I use it to clean almost everything in my home. Floors, stainless steal, windows, dishes, etc. However, it does not work well on my husbands dirty laundry even with a double dose…hence 4 stars. Maybe I need to try oxygen boost?

Starter Kit + Oxygen BoostIt’s great to have a safe product the only issue is the glass cleaner streaks a little. I clean houses for a living and recently have been diagnosed with celiac disease so having a product that’s gluten free is great.

Starter Kit + Oxygen BoostThe only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because I’ve not been able to use it for all the purposes it can be used for! I do use it daily on my counter top though and it cleans just as well as the Method cleaner I was using before. After reading about the potential harm that may come from using conventional cleansers to the lungs of females, I jumped on board and so far have not regretted it! I plan to buy some of the Boost soon too–I used the sample for some clothes that had a campfire smoke smell I couldn’t get to go away with my handmade detergent and it worked! I do wish they would come up with a dish soap as the foaming wash isn’t really enough for dishes, but is great for my hands.
